Quick Bites: Saw X

When I first heard there was going to be another Saw movie I was a little hesitant to watch it. But when I heard John Kramer was coming back and that it was set between Saw 1 and 2, I was completely on board. I had fun with Saw X and really enjoyed it. One of the best sequels in my opinion.

PLOT:

A sick and desperate John travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure in hopes of a miracle cure for his cancer only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable.

Positives:

  • John Kramer is back BABY! In my opinion, John Kramer (Tobin Bell) is the heart of the franchise. The Saw franchise went down hill once he was gone.

  • The kills were great. I love the contraptions that are set up in the Saw movies. Oh, and a lot of blood!

  • I like how the plot was more personal to John.

Negatives:

  • (Without giving away spoilers) I don’t like what happens with the main bad person. I understand why, I just didn’t like it.

  • Is Mexico’s air yellow? Asking for a friend. LOL

Overall, without giving anything away, I thought there was a lot of good with Saw X. If Saw 11 (or whatever the title) is as good, I’ll be happy. If you’re a fan of Saw and the earlier movies definitely check this out. It is a good and fun ride.

Oh, and before I forget, make sure to watch the credits. There’s an after credit scene. I almost missed out on it because I normally would shut it off.

Quick Bite rating:  4.5/5
